These are late season. We have to hunt down any fruit still hanging at this time of year. There are very few Hass avocados around locally now. We still have some but please note, they are end-of-season which means they still taste wonderful but they may be
- sunburnt
- a dark colour (mostly) from sun throughout the season, this does not indicate ripeness
- ridged from wind damage when they were young
- have an insect mark (we will give you two if this is the case).
- small. If we supply small fruit then we will give you two-for-one. No taste difference and some people prefer small avocados because they can eat the whole thing in one sitting.
But - if you are lucky - I will find a tree to pick with lovely fruit still and then you will get beautiful fruit for the same price!

- The recipe below is unbelievably good. It is not actually a cheesecake (i.e. no cheese in it) but it looks like one in terms of a base and filling. I made a load of these for my son's wedding and they went down a treat. I have sometimes frozen the avocado and lime mix so I can make them out of season too. Avocado Lime and Coconut Cheesecake
