Meet the team behind Gumdiggers Point produce
Tom & Gail Williams have developed their kanuka and manuka scrub block over 20+ years, along with daughter Rachael & her family. Gradually turning it into a sub tropical oasis, sheltered by large stands of mature kanuka and manuka trees. By creating our own micro climate it's helped us grow a variety of fruit, citrus, vegetables and flowers for family and friends to enjoy year round. Having two polytunnels built by son-in-law Dave has meant Tom can grow produce for the family all year round. Permaculture values and sustainable, chemical free growing practices are important to Tom. We only use seaweed, comfrey (homemade) or worm tea to feed our plants and produce.
We also make our own chutneys, jams and Gail and Rachael also enjoy growing herbs, dahlias, lilies and roses over the warmer months.
