Meet Chris & Trudy - soil farmers on the Tara

We are passionate about regenerative agriculture and the need to nurture our soil for future generations. We are lucky enough to be working with the beautiful volcanic soils on the Tara and even luckier to be part of this collective.

Our premium avocados are of a quality class not available in NZ supermarkets and we are delighted to offer these as part of the collective.

We are developing a hectare of food forest based on syntropic farming principles so watch this space for more produce.

Trudy is the admin for the collective and we aim to pull together as many local growers as we can to make sure we can feed our community at a reasonable price point.

​

We are both keen cooks and love to grow interesting and unusual fruit and veg so keep an eye out for our produce in the gourmet section.
